A Spacer Bookmark for the iPhone

This very simple web site is designed to allow to to put some space into your iPhone's home / Springboard screen.

Normally all your application icon flow to the top of the screen. I prefer to have some icons at the bottom, just above the grey bar. So I wrote this simple web application to allow me to do just that. I may convert it into a free AppStore application if enough people are interested, drop me a mail if you are.

Take a look at the screen shot below, notice that Google, Last.fm & i-DS are on a line on their own.

If you look closer, you can see four dots on the line above. These are four copies of the i-Spacer Web Application.

How To Install The WebApp

You can install the application as many times as you need spaces. I have installed it four times for the screen shots above.

• Go to the page here. This will be a completely blank web page. Then press the plus (+) symbol in the bottom tool bar of Safari to add a bookmark for page. Select Add to Home Screen then press the Add button in the top right hand corner.
• That's it - the application has been added and you should have a blank icon to move about the home screen as you see fit. If you need more i-Spacer's then simple bookmark the site again (and again).
